Product Manager / Product Owner (m/f/d)

  • Hybrid
    • München, Bayern, Germany

Job description

Wellster is one of Europe’s leading digital healthcare platforms. We develop digital products and services that make high-quality medical care more accessible, convenient and patient-centric.

To further develop our online services, platforms and mobile applications, we are looking for a hands-on Product Manager / Product Owner who combines strong product thinking with a deep understanding of user needs, technology and business priorities.

In this role, you will own both the product backlog and the cross-functional project plan for one of our most relevant tech-elements (Medical Operating System) — from defining requirements and coordinating implementation to managing timelines, dependencies, risks and stakeholder communication.

Your tasks would be...

  • Manage the day-to-day execution and implementation of the Medical Operating System backlog, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery

  • Act as a strong cross-functional facilitator, working closely with Medical, Commercial, and Tech teams to translate complex workflows and process gaps into actionable requirements

  • Translate medical, operational and business requirements into clear epics, user stories, functional specifications and acceptance criteria

  • Structure, groom, and manage the product backlog, aligning sprint priorities with the strategic roadmap defined by leadership

  • Coordinate project plans, sprint milestones, deliverables, and timelines across cross-functional teams to support the MedOS roadmap.

  • Work closely with Tech, Design, Operations, Data Protection and other stakeholders throughout the full product development lifecycle

  • Lead refinements, clarify requirements, resolve blockers and support pragmatic decision-making during implementation

  • Review and validate completed work, coordinate testing and bug prioritization, and ensure release readiness

  • Track progress, risks, dependencies and scope changes and provide clear and regular updates to relevant stakeholders

  • Coordinate rollout, user onboarding, training and change management while ensuring that patient safety, data protection and regulatory requirements are appropriately reflected

Job requirements

You will fit well, when you …

  • Have several years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner or in a comparable digital product role

  • Have successfully managed online services, digital platforms, web applications or mobile apps

  • Are experienced in translating complex business and user requirements into clear and actionable product specifications

  • Have a strong user-centric mindset and can balance customer needs, business goals and technical feasibility

  • Are confident in managing competing requirements, surfacing critical tradeoffs to leadership, and executing pragmatic, data-informed decisions within established guidelines

  • Have strong analytical skills and experience working with product metrics, user data and experimentation

  • Communicate clearly and confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Take ownership, work proactively and enjoy bringing structure into complex and fast-changing environments

  • Are comfortable challenging existing ideas while remaining collaborative and solution-oriented

  • Have professional working proficiency in English; German is an advantage
